Faith that informs how we live and lead.
The Expansion Institute is rooted in the Christian faith and seeks to approach leadership, education, business, and personal growth through biblical principles. The following statement expresses the convictions that guide our work.
The Holy Scriptures
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God and a trustworthy foundation for faith, character, wisdom, and daily living (2 Timothy 3:16–17).
Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior
Jesus Christ is the foundation and center of our faith. We confess Him as Lord and Savior, the Son of God who came in the flesh, died for our sins, and rose again. We believe that salvation is found in Him and that He is the one mediator between God and humanity (1 Corinthians 3:11; Romans 10:9–10; 1 Timothy 2:5; 1 Corinthians 15:3–4).
Jesus Christ is our risen High Priest and intercessor, who lives to intercede for those who draw near to God through Him. We look to His example of humble, sacrificial leadership as the pattern for how we serve others (Hebrews 7:25; Romans 8:34; Mark 10:45).
God and His redemptive love
We believe in one God, eternally revealed as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, that He died and rose again, and that salvation is by grace through faith in Him (John 3:16; Ephesians 2:8–9).
The Holy Spirit and spiritual gifts
We believe the Holy Spirit empowers believers to live faithfully, grow in godly character, and serve others. We affirm the biblical gifts of the Spirit, including prophecy, and believe they should be exercised with humility, love, discernment, accountability, and submission to Scripture (1 Corinthians 12–14; 1 Thessalonians 5:20–21).
Leadership, stewardship, and service
We believe people are called to serve with integrity, humility, diligence, and compassion. Business, ministry, and leadership responsibilities are opportunities to practice wise stewardship and honor God in our actions (Colossians 3:23; Mark 10:43–45).
Growth and discipleship
We believe spiritual maturity is a continuing journey of prayer, learning, obedience, community, and personal responsibility. We encourage thoughtful study of Scripture and participation in a healthy local church community.
This statement describes the Institute's Christian orientation and is not intended to replace a local church, pastoral care, or individual spiritual discernment.
